Ohio State sophomore Joey Bosa was a huge part of the Buckeyes’ national championship run this past year. Harry Redknapp is feeling very optimistic over England’s World Cup prospects due to the fact that there are no “outstanding teams” at the tournamentThe Three Lions secured a convincing 2-0 win against Costa Rica on Thursday at Elland Road with Marcus Rashford scoring a spectacular 25-yard strike to open the scoring before substitute Danny Welbeck sealed the victory by heading in the second goal.Despite the upcoming World Cup featuring the likes of Spain, Brazil and champions Germany, Redknapp is certain that this summer’s tournament holds no clear winner and feels that even the young and inexperienced England squad may be able to capitalise on this and secure an unexpected title.“We’re going to win it, let’s go for it,” said Redknapp, according to talkSPORT.“Don’t start talking about getting out of the group and all that, let’s have a go!Crouch: Liverpool could beat Man United to Jadon Sancho Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Peter Crouch wouldn’t be surprised to see Jadon Sancho end up at Liverpool one day instead of his long-term pursuers Manchester United.“There are no outstanding teams in this year – it’s wide open.“I couldn’t pick a winner; Brazil, Spain, Germany…I don’t think any of them are where they have been in the past.“So why can’t we do a miracle?“It’s happened before, it can happen again.”England will begin their World Cup campaign against Tunisia on June 18.

He and state assembly member Marc Levine unveiled a bill Thursday that would require companies to inform customers when passport numbers and biometric data get caught up in a data breach.”Knowledge is power, and all Californians deserve the power to take action if their passport numbers or biometric data have been accessed without authorization,” Becerra said in a press release Thursday. The bill comes in response to the breach of a Marriott-owned reservation system, made public in December, which compromised the information of about 383 million guests at the company’s Starwood hotel chain. Hackers stole more than five million unencrypted passport numbers, as well as more than 20 million encrypted passport numbers. Marriott did notify customers if their passport numbers were stolen, Becerra noted, but it wasn’t required by law.Passport numbers are valuable to potential identity thieves because they provide one more point of data about potential victims. However, criminals would have to use the numbers in expensive and sophisticated forged passports to travel internationally with the information. Passports numbers can be changed by reporting a passport lost or stolen; the replacement passport will have a new number. So they stole your passport number… Tags 0
Spider-Man: Far From Home spoilers sneakin’ up on you like Peter Parker in his Stealth Suit. Jay Maidment/Sony Pictures Spider-Man: Far From Home brings Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close with a joyous teen adventure. It also returns to the grand tradition of postcredits scenes after Avengers: Endgame offered only an audio Easter egg of Tony Stark forging his armor in the first Iron Man.Far From Home’s first postcredits scene is essential viewing, and the second is fun but will make you rethink the entire movie. If you haven’t seen Far From Home yet, be warned that you’re about to get caught in a web of spoilers.Scene 1: Mysterio’s revenge and a glorious returnSpider-Man (Tom Holland) swings a flustered MJ (Zendaya) through the Manhattan skyline and drops her off at 8th Avenue and 33rd Street, where a massive screen on the side of Madison Square Garden shows a report from TheDailyBugle.net.A doctored video makes it look like Spidey killed Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) during the climactic battle in London — the illusionist’s recorded testimony says Spidey is a villain from another universe who was controlling the drones wreaking havoc on the UK capital. How to watch every Marvel Cinematic Universe film in the right order Spider-Man: Far From Home director talks postcredit scene… As for where he got the video, it was probably from Mysterio’s assistant William Ginter Riva (Peter Billingsley), who escaped with a hard drive after Spidey foiled his boss’ plan in London. We saw earlier in the movie that Riva worked for Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) way back in the first Iron Man, so he’s had two villain employers. It’s also hard to know if Mysterio is really dead — he could’ve used his special-effects wizardry to fake that too.Director Jon Watts told CNET about revealing Peter’s identity and bringing Jameson back.”We knew it had to be on TV for the whole world to see. And we were like what, what news outlet would that be that would publish something like this?” he said.”It felt like it would be the Daily Bugle and if it’s the Daily Bugle, it’s gotta be J Jonah Jameson. And once we got to that point, there’s no question in anyone’s mind, it’s gotta be J.K. Simmons.”Watts noted that the actor’s approach to the character was pretty similar to the one he took for the Raimi movies.”But now he’s more recognizable as a real-world person than he was in those films. So I don’t know; it’s kind of interesting to look at how the world has changed around him,” he said in our interview. There’s no buzz cut, no cigar, no suspenders. But for the most part he’s still the spirit of J Jonah Jameson — I wondered like, was he a newspaper man? What’s happened? There are so many questions. Nothing is as it seems with Nick Fury and Maria Hill. Sony Pictures Scene 2: Nick Fury’s vacationWe discover that this movie’s SHIELD Director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) weren’t the Fury and Hill we know and love.Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) and his wife Soren (Sharon Blynn), a pair of shapeshifting Skrulls, pretended to be Fury and Hill. You might remember this couple being reunited during Captain Marvel, which takes place years prior to Far From Home in the MCU timeline. They were working for the real Fury, who ordered them to get the EDITH glasses to Peter. Talos apparently fell for Beck’s ruse too.The real Fury was chilling on a beach … that turns out to be a virtual reality (VR) simulation on a Skrull vessel somewhere in outer space. Perhaps he needed a vacation after being restored to life in Avengers: Endgame. We don’t see the real Hill. Hopefully she’s enjoying a little leisure time too.Turns out Talos (seen in Captain Marvel) plays a major role in Far From Home. Chuck Zlotnick/Marvel Studios What it meansFury and Hill were actually disguised Skrulls for the whole movie, echoing the Secret Invasion comic storyline where Skrulls secretly replaced humans. This is like a benign version of that sinister takeover, but it could foreshadow a future MCU storyline. There are a few hints about that the SHIELD agents aren’t all they seem during the movie too. Fury has an unusual reaction when Peter mentions Captain Marvel.”Don’t invoke her name,” he says. This reverential tone would be out of character for Fury, but is absolutely in character for Talos — she reunited him with his family back in the ’90s. Performances by Jackson and Smulders are a little flat during the movie too; this revelation makes their acting even more impressive.Maybe Talos was responsible for that Fury poster goof too.It does raise the question of what the Skrulls have been doing since the events of Captain Marvel, when they left Earth to search for a habitable planet where their race could live. Maybe even more people have been replaced by the shapeshifters. Earlier in the movie, Talos-Fury also makes a passing mention of “Kree sleeper cells” — in reference to the race that wiped out the Skrull homeworld. He and Soren could be on Earth to hunt the genocidal aliens.Watts wouldn’t reveal too much about any grander meaning behind this scene.”I don’t want to say anything about where we’re going next but, I mean, having seen Captain Marvel and now that the world knows about Fury and the Skrulls and all of that, it’s just another thing to draw from in this crazy, complicated, rich universe that’s the MCU,” he said in our interview. So Far From Home How to watch every Marvel Cinematic Universe film in the right order 2:17 Then Daily Bugle host J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons) appears on screen to hail Mysterio as “the greatest superhero of all time” and prepares us for more.”But that’s not all, folks. Here’s the real blockbuster — brace yourselves, you might wanna sit down,” he says.Mysterio’s final testimony reveals to the world Peter Parker’s secret identity as Spider-Man, leaving Spidey and MJ understandably shocked. null Far From Home review: A perfect Avengers: Endgame epilogue Spider-Man: Far From Home is the future of the MCU Far From Home poster goof unleashes Samuel L. Jackson’s Fury Share your voice TV and Movies Comics What it meansSpidey’s been outed to the world and framed for murder, meaning his entire life is turned upside down as we head into Phase 4. It’s a dark, stunning contrast to the end of Iron Man, where Tony Stark revealed his own superhero identity to the press and a nice reference to the comics’ Civil War storyline (which saw Peter outing himself at Tony’s urging). The general public’s also been fed Mysterio’s lies about the multiverse — we’ll see how they react to that.J. Jonah Jameson, as he was seen in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. His MCU counterpart doesn’t have the buzzcut. Sony Pictures Even more importantly, this scene marks the glorious return of Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. He played the cigar-chomping Daily Bugle boss in all three Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, but those aren’t part of the MCU and this isn’t the same character — note the lack of a buzzcut. From this glimpse, the MCU’s Jameson appears quite different to the Raimi-verse’s traditional angry newspaperman. Here, he’s more of an Alex Jones-type conspiracy theorist (mirroring his role as an angry podcaster in last year’s PS4 game) — one who was willing to paint a bullseye on a teenage boy based on a choppy video. 26 Photos Now playing: Watch this: Tags Originally published July 1.Update, July 8: Adds comments from Jon Watts. NOAH SEELAM/AFP/Getty ImagesThe State of the Nation March 2019 Wave 2 opinion poll conducted by CVoter for IANS shows the likely vote percentage for the two main poles of national politics, the NDA and UPA in this year’s general elections.A pre-poll alliance scenario for the BJP-led NDA formation would help it garner 42 per cent of the vote nationally, while for the Congress-led UPA alliance the vote percentage for the pre-poll allies would be 30.4 per cent. The CVoter State of the Nation March 2019 Wave 2 opinion poll released on March 24 is based on a sample survey of 10,280 this week and a cumulative base of 70,000 respondents since January 1 covering 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. The NDA is banking on the BJP’s narrative on nationalism to deliver the elections for it. While it has spoken of increasing employment opportunities under its watch, alleviation of farm distress and economic growth, nationalism has been its mainstay. The NDA has a distinct advantage over the rival formation in key states in the vote share projections. In Uttar Pradesh, where the Congress is not part of a mahagathbandhan, the NDA is likely to get 35.4 per cent of the vote. This is even though the NDA is expected to get far fewer seats compared to 2014 as indicated by the CVoter opinion poll. In Bihar, the NDA’s vote share is expected to be 52.6 per cent and in Rajasthan, the NDA is expected to get 50.7 per cent of the vote while in the BJP stronghold of Gujarat, the CVoter opinion poll suggests that the NDA will get 58.2 per cent of the vote share. SOTN March 2019 Wave II : Seat Share Projections. (IANS Infographics)In Maharashtra, the NDA is expected to have a vote share of 48.1 per cent while in BJP-ruled Haryana, the NDA could get 42.6 per cent of the vote according to the vote share projections. However, there are states where the two alliances are not as far apart on vote share and in some the NDA is actually behind, the CVoter opinion poll shows. Tamil Nadu is one of such states, Kerala is another. The two sides are neck and neck in Karnataka.Seat share projections for the NDA, based on pre-poll alliances, shows it will fall short of a House majority with 261 seats — an earlier CVoter opinion poll on March 10 had put this number at 264. The second survey shows that the BJP will get 241 seats on its own. However, the surge from post-poll alliances would push it well above the majority mark of 272.This is how the CVoter opinion poll says the numbers are likely to stack up for the NDA should the post-poll alliances click. The YSR Congress Party led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to win 10 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, the Mizo National Front is likely to get one seat, the Biju Janata Dal 10 seats and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti 16 seats — a total of 37 seats between them. Added to the pre-poll NDA alliance, the BJP-led alliance is expected to have an overall tally of 298 seats according to the CVoter opinion poll.In fact, the pre-poll alliance situation shows how the political parties concerned are adding to the BJP-led alliance’s numbers. The CVoter opinion poll highlights how in Bihar, the NDA is expected to win 36 seats with the help of allies Janata Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party who together are expected to win 20 seats to the BJP’s 16. STR/AFP/Getty ImagesThe BJP’s other pre-poll allies are: Maharashtra — Shiv Sena (14 seats); Assam — Bodoland Peoples’ Front (one seat); Punjab — Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), one seat; Tamil Nadu — AIADMK (7 seats): Uttar Pradesh — Apna Dal (Sonelal), one seat.Taken together, these pre-poll allies are expected to give a boost of 47 seats to the ruling alliance in the country.Uttar Pradesh, India’s politically most important state with 80 Lok Sabha seats, presents an interesting scenario. In the pre-poll alliance case, the NDA is expected to get 28 seats to the UPA’s four. It is a drastic markdown from the 73 Lok Sabha seats the NDA got in 2014 but it remains ahead of the rival alliance. However, should the Congress-led alliance forge a last-minute post-poll tie-up and become a part of the mahagathbandhan, this equation would change dramatically, giving the anti-NDA alliance 52 seats in all. What happens in Uttar Pradesh with the mahagathbandhan will also cast a shadow on vote share projections, the CVoter opinion poll shows.
Google has launched what it calls a world-first smartphone experience in central London as the search giant looks to cement its presence on the high street. The Google Shop will see customers able to experience devices ranging from Nexus smartphones and tablets, Chromebooks, Chromecasts and Android Wear smartwatches as well as experience some of Googles other online services. The store allows customers to experience an interactive Google Maps experience on a large curved display, as well as creating their own Google Doodles on an interactive wall. The first Google Shop will be located in the Currys/PC World store on Tottenham Court Road with two similar installations planned for later this year. The shop is seen as a step-up from the current partnerships the company has in place with retailers in the UK where it has a limited presence within over 400 stores across the country.Retail storesSpeaking to IBTimes UK at the launch Google UKs marketing director James Elias said this was the biggest and boldest evolution of [Googles] store-in-store strategy to date but when asked if this was just a gateway to building its own standalone stores, Elias said the company had no plans along those lines.Apple announced earlier this week, on 9 March, that the company now had over 450 retail stores worldwide with aggressive plans to expand that number in China in particular. The company saw some 120 million people pass through the doors of its stores in just three months to the end of December, giving some idea of the revenue generating potential of the stores.Google is a very different business and while it has some hardware in the form of Nexus devices, these are built in partnership with the likes of HTC and Motorola and therefore the potential revenue gain for the search giant is not as instantly obvious as for Apple.Elias said that while the company was hoping the new Google Shop would help drive some revenue, it was as much about the experience, adding that the store wants to become part of the community with classes about how to stay safe online being held at the store in the future.
